The Hours of my Wake, the debut album from Finland´s Obseqvies, rakes the tolls of the most angst ridden of livings and throws them back at existence by digging deep into the mires of funeral doom. Out of this world, profound and distraughtly deep, this modern masterpiece takes the listener beyond and back with an outstandingly well-yielded musicianship. Not relinquishing the lessons learnt from the masters of the genre, it does tap into the very seams of musical sanity and twists them beyond healing.
